State Rd 62 from Dillsboro Reopens Tomorrow, June 1!
We have all been frustrated for the past few years with the closure of the State Road 62 from Dillsboro that leads to Friendship, but we are happy to announce that the road is repaired and is reopening tomorrow, June 1, 2013! Please spread the word. For directions to our market, refer to our Directions page.

New Family Member ELINOR CLAIRE TEPE Tom Kerr's granddaughter, Jill Kerr Tepe, who helps run the Field Office, gave birth to her first child, ELINOR CLAIRE TEPE at 1:36am on Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Elinor weighed 7 lbs and 1 oz and was 19 3/4". Mom, Dad and baby are doing well!

Today is the biggest day of our Spring Show!
It's a warm but fabulous day here at Friendship Flea Market. Our vendors will be open until dark at least, and today we have a gospel band playing at the campfire from 6-9pm, and then the Whiskey River Band from 9-midnight. We also have a live auction at 8pm in Building 1 near the front entrance. Don't forget we still have camping. Call 812-667-5645 for more info!

Water Walking Ball at the POINT!
The Kids will LOVE the Water Walking Ball that is featured this year at the POINT. Come and race each other and roll around in a giant inflatable ball where Caesar Creek meets Laughery Creek, only at Friendship Flea Market!

Our New Website launched August 25, 2009!
Internet Cafe Introduced in September 2009 Tom's granddaughters, Jenny and Jill, will be running an internet station here at the flea market, over at the Field Office on Kerr Hollow. You will be able to pay to use computers that will be available for checking email. Pay $3 for 15 minutes or $5 for 30 minutes. Or, if you have your own laptop, you can pay for wireless access. $7 a day or $30 per week.
2008 - a Year of Goodbyes The close of 2008 brought tears and farewells to the long-standing Friendship family.
This season of loss began when Tom's wife, Rosemary Kerr, passed away in October. Rosemary was instrumental in the formation and running of Friendship since the beginning. As the "Queen of Friendship," her presence is greatly missed.
Tom's brother-in-law, Walter Young, husband to Lillian Kerr Young, passed away in late October. Walter ran the parking lot for over 20 years, where he got to socialize with all the visitors here at Friendship, which he called his "little buddies".
Tom's sister, Lula Kerr Fox, also known as "Minnie Pearl" here at Friendship, passed away in December. She was a shareholder and vendor here from 1968-2002. Her impression of "How-dyyyyyyy!" will always be remembered.
Tom's sister-in-law, Alice Kerr, wife to Tom's brother Edward, passed away in November.
